Accomplishments
From All Hands Active Wiki
Collection of Cool Things All Hands Active has done in 2012 so far:
- Decided on a home: Officially on the lease at 525 E. Liberty Street!
- Supplied the Ann Arbor Mini Maker Faire with 15+ Volunteers
- Provided over 100 low cost DIY & STEM based After School Classes in the Wayne/Westland/Ypsilanti school districts
- Ran our first Summer Camp based on Video Games, Programming, and Team Building
- Provided over 8,500 hours of free access to Workbenches, Sewing Machines, Soldering Irons, Hammers, and much, much more.

- Provided hundreds of free impromptu classes on Knitting, Programming, Neuroscience, and 2 Liter Bottle Rockets at the Detroit Maker Faire
- Won the 2nd Place Moxie Award at the Chicago Power Wheels Racing League
- Worked with the Ann Arbor District Library (AADL) to offer free Arduino, Java, and 3D Printing workshops to the general public
- Purchased the assets of Digital Ops for the purpose of providing access to more tools for free
Things we plan on doing during the rest of 2012:
- Provide free access to 3D Modeling, 2D Graphic Design, and Programming tools in The Cube at All Hands Active.
- Develop freely accessible DIY & STEM based curriculum for all to use
- Build bigger, better, and more awesome 3D Printers
- Connect with additional hackerspaces across the globe, to make the world more awesome.
